Lot closed - unsold

Oil painting; 20x24 inches; 2014

Ruth Obernbreit presently finds inspiration capturing those landscapes whose essential compositions have her diving deep into her subject matter, be they representational or semi abstract as seen in “Almost Spring, #1.” She stops so often when struck by light and form that it takes her twice as long to get anywhere! In addition to landscapes, favorite subject matters include images from above, aerial vistas, and images below, the subway. Her oil paintings have been exhibited at The Worcester Art Museum, Silvermine Artists Guild, MAGS gallery, etc. The dazzling moment in“Almost Spring” was captured on a hike in New Canaan, Connecticut.
